How to Measure Yourself for a Salish Matter Hoodie
Getting the right size starts with accurate measurements. You will need a flexible measuring tape and a friend to help - or a mirror for solo sessions. Stand up straight with your arms relaxed at your sides.
First, measure your chest. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, just under your armpits. Keep it parallel to the floor and snug but not tight. Write down that number in inches.
Next, measure your sleeve length. Start from the center of your back at the base of your neck, go across your shoulder, and down your arm to your wrist. This gives you the total sleeve length for a standard hoodie.
Finally, measure the length of the hoodie. Place the tape at the highest point of your shoulder (where the hoodie seam would sit) and let it hang straight down to where you want the hem to fall. For Salish Matter hoodies, many fans prefer a longer length that covers the waistband of your pants - so add an inch or two for that relaxed vibe.
